¹ ယုဒရှင်ဘုရင်ယောရှိသား ယောယကိမ် လက်ထက်၊ နေရိသားဗာရုတ်သည်၊ ယေရမိမြွက်ဆိုသည် အတိုင်း၊ စကားတော်များကို စာ၌ ရေးထားသောနောက်၊ ပရောဖက်ယေရမိသည် ဗာရုတ်အားဆင့်ဆိုရသော နှုတ် ကပတ်တော်ဟူမူကား၊

^2-4 အိုဗာရုတ်၊ သင်က၊ ငါသည်အမင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါဝမ်းနည်းစရာ အကြောင်းတပါး အပေါ်မှာတပါးကို ထပ်ဆင့်တော်မူသောကြောင့်၊ ငါသည် သက်သာမရ။ ညည်းတွား၍ စိတ်ပျက်ပါပြီဟု ဆိုသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ သင်သည်ဆင့်ဆိုရမည်မှာ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး၏ ဘုရားသခင်ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည် ကား၊ ငါဆောက်သောအရာကို ငါဖြိုဖျက်မည်။ ငါစိုက် သော အရာတည်းဟူသော ဤပြည်ကို အကြွင်းမဲ့ ငါနှုတ် ပစ်မည်။

⁵ သင်သည် ကြီးစွာသော အရာတို့ကို ကိုယ်အဘို့ ရှာသလော။ မရှာနှင့်။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် ခပ်သိမ်းသော သတ္တဝါတို့အပေါ်သို့ ဘေးရောက်စေမည်။ သို့ရာတွင်၊ သင်ရောက်လေရာအရပ်တို့၌၊ သင်၏ အသက်ကို လက်ရဥစ္စာကဲ့သို့ သင့်အားငါပေးမည်ဟု ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁷ therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Armies, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.

¹⁸ Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Because you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according to all that he commanded you;

¹⁹ therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me forever.
