¹ 神赐福给挪亚和他的儿子，对他们说：你们要生养众多，遍满了地。

² 凡地上的走兽和空中的飞鸟都必惊恐，惧怕你们，连地上一切的昆虫并海里一切的鱼都交付你们的手。

³ 凡活着的动物都可以作你们的食物。这一切我都赐给你们，如同菜蔬一样。

⁴ 惟独肉带着血，那就是他的生命，你们不可吃。

⁵ 流你们血、害你们命的，无论是兽是人，我必讨他的罪，就是向各人的弟兄也是如此。

⁶ 凡流人血的，他的血也必被人所流，因为神造人是照自己的形像造的。

⁷ 你们要生养众多，在地上昌盛繁茂。

⁸ 神晓谕挪亚和他的儿子说：

⁹ 我与你们和你们的後裔立约，

¹⁰ 并与你们这里的一切活物─就是飞鸟、牲畜、走兽，凡从方舟里出来的活物─立约。

¹¹ 我与你们立约，凡有血肉的，不再被洪水灭绝，也不再有洪水毁坏地了。

¹² 神说：我与你们并你们这里的各样活物所立的永约是有记号的。

¹³ 我把虹放在云彩中，这就可作我与地立约的记号了。

¹⁴ 我使云彩盖地的时候，必有虹现在云彩中，

¹⁵ 我便记念我与你们和各样有血肉的活物所立的约，水就再不泛滥、毁坏一切有血肉的物了。

¹⁶ 虹必现在云彩中，我看见，就要记念我与地上各样有血肉的活物所立的永约。

¹⁷ 神对挪亚说：这就是我与地上一切有血肉之物立约的记号了。

¹⁸ 出方舟挪亚的儿子就是闪、含、雅弗。含是迦南的父亲。

¹⁹ 这是挪亚的三个儿子，他们的後裔分散在全地。

²⁰ 挪亚作起农夫来，栽了一个葡萄园。

²¹ 他喝了园中的酒便醉了，在帐棚里赤着身子。

²² 迦南的父亲含看见他父亲赤身，就到外边告诉他两个弟兄。

²³ 於是闪和雅弗拿件衣服搭在肩上，倒退着进去，给他父亲盖上；他们背着脸就看不见父亲的赤身。

²⁴ 挪亚醒了酒，知道小儿子向他所作的事，

²⁵ 就说：迦南当受咒诅，必给他弟兄作奴仆的奴仆；

²⁶ 又说：耶和华─闪的神是应当称颂的！愿迦南作闪的奴仆。

²⁷ 愿神使雅弗扩张，使他住在闪的帐棚里；又愿迦南作他的奴仆。

²⁸ 洪水以後，挪亚又活了三百五十年。

²⁹ 挪亚共活了九百五十岁就死了。

¹ After these things the word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Don't be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward."

² Abram said, "Lord Yahweh, what will you give me, since I go childless, and he who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?"

³ Abram said, "Behold, to me you have given no seed: and, behold, one born in my house is my heir."

⁴ Behold, the word of Yahweh came to him, saying, "This man will not be your heir, but he who will come forth out of your own body will be your heir."

⁵ Yahweh brought him outside, and said, "Look now toward the sky, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." He said to Abram, "So shall your seed be."

⁶ He believed in Yahweh; and he reckoned it to him for righteousness.

⁷ He said to him, "I am Yahweh who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give you this land to inherit it."

⁸ He said, "Lord Yahweh, how will I know that I will inherit it?"

⁹ He said to him, "Bring me a heifer three years old, a female goat three years old, a ram three years old, a turtledove, and a young pigeon."

¹⁰ He brought him all of these, and divided them in the middle, and laid each half opposite the other; but he didn't divide the birds.

¹¹ The birds of prey came down on the carcasses, and Abram drove them away.

¹² When the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell on Abram. Now terror and great darkness fell on him.

¹³ He said to Abram, "Know for sure that your seed will live as foreigners in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them. They will afflict them four hundred years.

¹⁴ I will also judge that nation, whom they will serve. Afterward they will come out with great wealth,

¹⁵ but you will go to your fathers in peace. You will be buried in a good old age.

¹⁶ In the fourth generation they will come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet full."

¹⁷ It came to pass that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold, a smoking furnace, and a flaming torch passed between these pieces.

¹⁸ In that day Yahweh made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your seed I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

¹⁹ the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites,

²⁰ the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim,

²¹ the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."
