² thì A-xa-ria, con trai Hô-sa-gia, và Giô-ha-nan, con trai Ca-rê-át, cùng mọi người kiêu ngạo nói với Giê-rê-mi rằng: Ngươi nói dối! Ðức Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta chưa hề sai ngươi truyền cho chúng ta rằng: Chớ sang nước Ê-díp-tô mà trú ngụ;

¹ Có lời truyền cho Giê-rê-mi về hết thảy người Giu-đa ở trong đất Ê-díp-tô, tại Mít-đôn, Tác-pha-nết, Nốp, và trong xứ Pha-trốt, rằng:

¹⁶ That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.
