¹ ユダの人々の部族が、その家族にしたがって、くじで獲た地は、南の方では、エドムの境に達し、南のはてにあるチンの荒野に及んでいた。

² その南の境は、塩の海の南の端の、入海から起り、

³ アクラビムの坂の南に出てチンに進み、カデシ・バルネアの南から上って、ヘヅロンに進み、アダルに上っていって、カルカに回り、

⁴ アヅモンに進んで、エジプトの川に達し、その境は海に至って尽きる。これが彼らの南の境である。

⁵ 東の境は塩の海であって、ヨルダンの川口に達する。北の方の境は、ヨルダンの川口の、入海から起り、

⁶ 上ってベテホグラに行き、ベテアラバの北を過ぎ、上ってルベンびとボハンの石に達し、

⁷ またアコルの谷からデビルに上って、北におもむき、川の南にあるアドミムの坂に対するギルガルに向かって進み、エンシメシの水に達し、エンロゲルに至って尽きる。

⁸ またその境はベンヒンノムの谷に沿って、エブスびとの地、すなわちエルサレムの南のわきに上り、ヒンノムの谷の西にある山の頂に上る。これはレパイムの谷の北の果にあるものである。

⁹ その境は、この山の頂からネフトアの水の源に至り、その所からエフロン山の町々に及び、その境は曲ってバアラに達する。これは、すなわちキリアテ・ヤリムである。

¹⁰ その境は、バアラから西に回って、セイル山に及び、ヤリム山、すなわちケサロンの北のわきを経て、ベテシメシに下り、テムナに進み、

¹¹ エクロンの北の丘のわきに出て、シッケロンに曲り、バアラ山に進み、ヤブネルに達し、海に至って尽きる。

¹² また西の境は大海であって、海岸を境とした。これがユダの人々の、その家族にしたがって獲た地の四方の境である。

¹³ ヨシュアは、主に命じられたように、エフンネの子カレブに、ユダの人々のうちで、キリアテ・アルバ、すなわちヘブロンを与えて、その分とさせた。アルバはアナクの父であった。

¹⁴ カレブはその所から、アナクの子三人を追い払った。すなわち、セシャイ、アヒマン、およびタルマイであって、アナクから出たものである。

¹⁵ そして彼はこの所からデビルに住む民の所に攻め上った。デビルの名は、もとはキリアテ・セペルといった。

¹⁶ カレブは言った、「キリアテ・セペルを撃って、これを取る者には、わたしの娘アクサを妻として与えるであろう」。

¹⁷ ケナズの子で、カレブの弟オテニエルがそれを取ったので、カレブは娘アクサを、妻として彼に与えた。

²⁸ ハザル・シュアル、ベエルシバ、ビジョテヤ、

²⁹ バアラ、イイム、エゼム、

³⁰ エルトラデ、ケシル、ホルマ、

³¹ チクラグ、マデマンナ、サンサンナ、

³² レバオテ、シルヒム、アイン、リンモン。これらの町は合わせて二十九、ならびにそれに属する村々。

³³ 平地では、エシタオル、ゾラ、アシナ、

³⁴ ザノア、エンガンニム、タップア、エナム、

³⁵ ヤルムテ、アドラム、ソコ、アゼカ、

³⁶ シャアライム、アデタイム、ゲデラ、ゲデロタイム。すなわち十四の町々と、それに属する村々。

³⁷ ゼナン、ハダシャ、ミグダルガデ、

³⁸ デラン、ミヅパ、ヨクテル、

³⁹ ラキシ、ボヅカテ、エグロン、

⁴⁰ カボン、ラマム、キテリシ、

⁴¹ ゲデロテ、ベテダゴン、ナアマ、マッケダ。すなわち十六の町々と、それに属する村々。

⁴² またリブナ、エテル、アシャン、

⁴³ イフタ、アシナ、ネジブ、

⁴⁴ ケイラ、アクジブ、マレシャ。すなわち九つの町々と、それに属する村々。

⁴⁵ エクロンと、その町々、および村々。

⁴⁶ エクロンから海まで、すべてアシドドのほとりにある町々、およびそれに属する村々。

⁴⁷ アシドドとその町々および村々。ガザとその町々および村々。エジプトの川と大海の海岸までが、その境であった。

⁴⁸ 山地では、シャミル、ヤッテル、ソコ、

⁴⁹ ダンナ、キリアテ・サンナすなわちデビル、

⁵⁰ アナブ、エシテモ、アニム、

⁵¹ ゴセン、ホロン、ギロ。すなわち十一の町々と、それに属する村々。

⁵⁴ ホムタ、キリアテ・アルバすなわちヘブロン、ヂオル。すなわち九つの町々と、それに属する村々。

⁵⁵ マオン、カルメル、ジフ、ユッタ、

⁵⁶ エズレル、ヨクデアム、ザノア、

⁵⁷ カイン、ギベア、テムナ。すなわち十の町々と、それに属する村々。

⁵⁸ ハルホル、ベテズル、ゲドル、

⁵⁹ マアラテ、ベテアノテ、エルテコン。すなわち六つの町々と、それに属する村々。

⁶⁰ キリアテ・バアルすなわちキリアテ・ヤリム、ラバ。これらの二つの町とそれに属する村々。

⁶¹ 荒野では、ベテアラバ、ミデン、セカカ、

⁶² ニブシャン、塩の町、エンゲデ。すなわち六つの町々と、それに属する村々。

⁶³ しかし、ユダの人々は、エルサレムの住民エブスびとを追い払うことができなかった。それでエブスびとは今日まで、ユダの人々と共にエルサレムに住んでいる。

¹ The second lot came out for Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. Their inheritance was in the midst of the inheritance of the children of Judah.

⁸ and all the villages that were around these cities to Baalath Beer, Ramah of the South. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.

⁹ Out of the part of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too much for them. Therefore the children of Simeon had inheritance in the midst of their inheritance.

¹⁰ The third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families. The border of their inheritance was to Sarid.

¹¹ Their border went up westward, even to Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth. It reached to the brook that is before Jokneam.

¹² It turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrise to the border of Chisloth Tabor. It went out to Daberath, and went up to Japhia.

¹³ From there it passed along eastward to Gath Hepher, to Ethkazin; and it went out at Rimmon which stretches to Neah.

¹⁴ The border turned around it on the north to Hannathon; and it ended at the valley of Iphtah El;

¹⁵ Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.

¹⁶ This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

¹⁷ The fourth lot came out for Issachar, even for the children of Issachar according to their families.

¹⁸ Their border was to Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,

¹⁹ Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,

²⁰ Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,

²¹ Remeth, Engannim, En Haddah, and Beth Pazzez.

²² The border reached to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth Shemesh. Their border ended at the Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.

²³ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities with their villages.

²⁴ The fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

²⁵ Their border was Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph,

²⁶ Allammelech, Amad, Mishal. It reached to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath.

²⁷ It turned toward the sunrise to Beth Dagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Iphtah El northward to Beth Emek and Neiel. It went out to Cabul on the left hand,

²⁸ and Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, even to great Sidon.

²⁹ The border turned to Ramah, to the fortified city of Tyre; and the border turned to Hosah. It ended at the sea by the region of Achzib;

³⁰ Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty-two cities with their villages.

³¹ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.

³² The sixth lot came out for the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.

³³ Their border was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, Adaminekeb, and Jabneel, to Lakkum. It ended at the Jordan.

³⁴ The border turned westward to Aznoth Tabor, and went out from there to Hukkok. It reached to Zebulun on the south, and reached to Asher on the west, and to Judah at the Jordan toward the sunrise.

³⁵ The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Chinnereth,

³⁶ Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,

³⁷ Kedesh, Edrei, En Hazor,

³⁸ Iron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath, and Beth Shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.

³⁹ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities with their villages.

⁴⁰ The seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.

⁴¹ The border of their inheritance was Zorah, Eshtaol, Irshemesh,

⁴² Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,

⁴³ Elon, Timnah, Ekron,

⁴⁴ Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,

⁴⁵ Jehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon,

⁴⁶ Me Jarkon, and Rakkon, with the border over against Joppa.

⁴⁷ The border of the children of Dan went out beyond them; for the children of Dan went up and fought against Leshem, and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and lived therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father.

⁴⁸ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities with their villages.

⁴⁹ So they made an end of distributing the land for inheritance by its borders. The children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun in the midst of them.

⁵⁰ According to the commandment of Yahweh, they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnathserah in the hill country of Ephraim; and he built the city, and lived there.

⁵¹ These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the tribes of the children of Israel, distributed for inheritance by lot in Shiloh before Yahweh, at the door of the Tent of Meeting. So they made an end of dividing the land.
