Ezekiel 32

Studie

And it was, in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of Jehovah was unto me, saying,

Son of man, take··up a lamentation against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him, Thou art likened to a young··lion of the nations, and thou art as the whale in the seas; and thou camest··out in thy rivers, and didst disturb the waters with thy feet, and didst dirty their rivers.

Thus says the Lord Jehovih*; And I will spread My net over thee with an assembly of many people; and they shall bring· thee ·up in My net.

And I will abandon thee in the land, I will throw thee on the faces of the field, and will cause all the fowls of the heavens to inhabit thee, and with thee I will satisfy the animals of all the earth.

And I will put thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the ravines with thy height.

And I will give· the land ·drink, overlaying thee with thy blood to the mountains; and the channels shall··be··full of thee.

And when I shall quench thee, I will cover the heavens, and blacken the stars; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not light her light.

All the lightings of the lights of the heavens will I blacken over thee, and put darkness upon thy land, says the Lord Jehovih.

And I will provoke the hearts of many peoples, when I shall bring thy breaking among the nations, on the lands which thou hast not known.

And I make many peoples astonished over thee, and their kings with shuddering shall shudder over thee, when I shall make My sword fly over their faces; and they shall be··frightened at every moment, each··man for his own soul, in the day of thy fall.

For thus says the Lord Jehovih; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come··on thee.

By the swords of the heroes will I cause thy crowd to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them; and they shall devastate the pride of Egypt, and all her crowd shall be blotted··out.

And I will make· all her beasts` ·perish from by the many waters; And the foot of man shall not disturb them any··more, and the hoofs of beasts shall not disturb them.

Then will I cause their waters to drown, and cause their rivers to go like oil, says the Lord Jehovih.

When I shall give the land of Egypt to desolation, and the land shall be··desolate of her fullness, when I shall smite all those who dwell in her, then shall they know that I am Jehovah.

This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her; the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament for her, even for Egypt, and for all her multitude, says the Lord Jehovih.

And it was in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth of the month, that the word of Jehovah was unto me, saying,

Son of man, wail over the crowd of Egypt, and make them go··down, even her, and the daughters of the magnificent nations, to the lower earth, with those who go··down to the pit.

Than whom art· thou more ·pleasant? go··down, and be thou laid··down with the uncircumcised.

They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword; she is given to the sword: draw her and all her multitudes.

The gods* among the mighty shall speak to him from the midst of hell with those who help him; they have gone··down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

Assyria is there and all her assembly; his graves are around him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword:

whose graves are put in the flanks of the pit, and her assembly is around her grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who put dismay in the land of the living.

Elam is there, and all her crowd around her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who have gone··down uncircumcised to the lower earth, who put their dismay in the land of the living; and they have borne their humiliation with those who go··down to the pit.

They have put a bed for her in the midst of the slain with all her crowd; her graves are all around him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: for their dismay was put in the land of the living, but they have borne their humiliation with them that go··down to the pit: he is put in the midst of the slain.

Meshech is there, Tubal, and all her crowd; her graves are all around him; all of them uncircumcised, pierced by the sword, for they put their dismay in the land of the living.

And they shall not lie with the mighty who are fallen of the uncircumcised, who are gone··down to hell with their weapons of war; and they have put their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be on their bones, as they were the dismay of the mighty in the land of the living.

And thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with those slain by the sword.

There is Edom, her kings, and all her chiefs, which with their might are put with those slain by the sword; they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with those who go··down··to the pit.

There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, who have gone··down with the slain; by their dismay they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with those slain by the sword, and bear their humiliation with those who go··down··to the pit.

Pharaoh shall see them, and shall comfort himself* over all his crowd; Pharaoh and all his host are slain by the sword, says the Lord Jehovih.

For I have put My dismay in the land of the living; and he shall be laid··down in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord Jehovih.
