20 The Lord hath performed his word which he spoke : and I stand in the room of David my father, and sit upon the throne of Israel, as The Lord promised: and have built a house to the name of the Lord the God of Israel.

Verse 20. Hence the Word of the Lord is established, and the celestial man surely succeeds the spiritual, or the state of truth governing from good succeeds the state of truth leading to good, according to Divine Order; and hence man becomes a dwelling-place for the Lord, having a heavenly quality as to good and as to truth.
