Isaiah 55

pag-aaral

Ho! All who thirst, go ye to the waters! And he who has no silver; go ye, purchase, and eat! And go, purchase ye without silver, and without price, wine and milk.

Why do you weigh out silver for that which is not bread, and your toil for that which will not satisfy? Hearkening hearken to Me, and eat ye that which is good; and your soul shall delight itself in fatness.

Incline your ear, and go unto Me; hearken, that your soul may live; and I will cut with you an eternal covenant, even the faithful mercies of David.

Behold, for a witness to the peoples I have given him; a monarch and a commander to the nations.

Behold, the nation whom Thou knewest not Thou shalt call; and the nations who knew not Thee shall run to Thee, for the sake of Jehovah Thy God; and for the Holy One of Israel, for He has adorned Thee.

Seek ye Jehovah, while He may be found; call ye upon Him, while He is near.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the man of iniquity his thoughts; and let him return unto Jehovah, and He will have compassion upon him; and unto our God, for He will multiply to pardon.

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says Jehovah.

For as the heavens are loftier than the earth; so are My ways loftier than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the shower comes down, and the snow, from the heavens, and returns not thither, but soaks the earth, and makes her give birth and grow, that she may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater;

so shall My Word be which goes out from My mouth; it shall not return unto Me empty; but it shall do that in which I delight, and it shall prosper where I have sent it.

For with gladness shall you go out, and with peace you shall be brought; the mountains and the hills shall burst forth before you into singing aloud; and all the trees of the field shall clap the palms of their hands.

Instead of the bush shall come up the fir tree; and instead of the sirpad shall come up the myrtle; and it shall be to Jehovah for a name, for an eternal sign which shall not be cut off.
