22 Και εαν τις επραξεν αμαρτημα αξιον θανατου και καταδικασθη εις θανατον, και κρεμασης αυτον εις ξυλον,

Verse 22. When there shall be found in the soul an evil which ought to be destroyed; and it is seen to induce a state utterly devoid of spiritual life, so that it must be rejected as utterly averse to the good of heaven and the Church:
