44 Ja kuningas ütles veel Simeile: 'Sina tead ise oma südames kõike seda kurja, mis sa oled teinud mu isale Taavetile. Sellepärast Issand laseb su kurjuse tagasi tulla su oma pea peale.

Verse 44. Moreover the natural man, thus unregenerate, is conscious of its own evil love, and that it has averted itself from Divine Truth, on which account it is wholly self-condemned.
