Vers 18. Und daher ist dies von der echten Wahrheit des Wortes gegeben, in dem der geistliche Sinn ist, daß nämlich das verfälschte Gut dem Verstande gegenüber erhöht werden muß, damit er das Gute und Wahre des Wortes wahrnehmen kann,

Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, to whom the word of Yahweh came, saying, "Israel shall be your name."

With the stones he built an altar in the name of Yahweh. He made a trench around the altar, large enough to contain two measures of seed.
