229. Internal Meaning of Zephaniah, Chapter 2

1-3 They ought to be converted before the Lord comes to judgment, (15)

4-6 for the evil will then perish on account of evils and falsities of many kinds. (15)

7 Then some are to be saved. (16, 17, 13)

8-10 Those who have adulterated the Word will utterly perish. (15, 3)

11 They will perish that whoever is able may acknowledge the Lord. (15, 3)

12-15 Those who have falsified the knowledges [cognitiones] of truth, by means of reasonings and knowledges [scientifica], and have thus destroyed the church, will utterly perish. (15, 3)
