'The Canaanites and the Hittites' are those steeped in evils that arise from falsities, see 6858; 'the Amorites and the Perizzites' are those steeped in evils and the falsities that arise from them, 6859; and 'the Hivites and the Jebusites' are those steeped in what is idolatrous but has some kind of goodness and truth in it, 6860.
