1 Kings 20:14

Verse 14. And when the spiritual man from self-love, considers how or by what arguments he shall restrain the natural man he perceives that he must do so by the primary truths of the Word, which ought to regulate the various functions of human life, and that he should do this as from himself, since the internal should first operate.
