Exploring the Meaning of Exodus 2

By New Christian Bible Study Staff

Arcana Coelestia 6713. In this chapter in the internal sense the subject treated of is truth Divine, its beginnings and successive states with the man of the church.

Arcana Coelestia 6714. In the supreme sense the subject treated of is the Lord, how He as to the Human became the law Divine. Moses represents the Lord as to the law Divine, which is the Word; and in the relative sense he represents truth Divine with the man of the church.

6714. The highest sense deals with the Lord, with the way in which His Human became the law of God. Moses represents the Lord so far as the law of God, which is the Word, is concerned, though in the relative sense He represents God's truth with a member of the Church.
