Geremia 51:62

Სწავლა

62 E di’: O Signore, tu hai parlato contro a questo luogo, che tu lo distruggeresti, sì che non vi dimorerebbe più nè uomo, nè bestia; anzi che sarebbe ridotto in desolazioni perpetue.

To many Protestant and Evangelical Italians, the Bibles translated by Giovanni Diodati are an important part of their history. Diodati’s first Italian Bible edition was printed in 1607, and his second in 1641. He died in 1649. Throughout the 1800s two editions of Diodati’s text were printed by the British Foreign Bible Society. This is the more recent 1894 edition, translated by Claudiana.

Time, and times, and half a time

'Time, and times, and half a time,' as in Revelation 12:14, signifies to the end and a new beginning, thus until it grows from a few people to many more, till it reaches its appointed state. 'A time, and times, and half a time,' has the same meaning as 'a thousand two hundred and sixty days' in Revelation 12:6, as 'three days and a half' in Revelation 11:9-10, 'the three years and six months of famine' in Luke 4:25, and 'a stated time' or 'stated times and a half, when they will make a consummation of dispersing the hands of the people of holiness,' in Daniel 12:7.
