That this signifies the mediate goods and truths (that is, the natural goods and truths themselves), is evident from the signification of “maidservants,” as being the affections of the natural, and therefore its goods (n. 1895, 2567, 3835, 3849); and from the signification of “menservants” as being memory-knowledges, which are the truths of the natural man (n. 2567, 3019, 3020, 3409).
