That this signifies doctrinal things of falsity, and reasonings from a perverted understanding, is evident from the signification of the “chariots of Pharaoh,” as being doctrinal things of falsity (see n. 8146, 8148, 8215); and from the signification of “horsemen,” as being reasonings from a perverted understanding (see n. 8146, 8148).
