Ezekiel 21:19

¹⁹ Also, you son of man, appoint two ways, that the sword of the king of Babylon may come; they both shall come forth out of one land: and mark out a place, mark it out at the head of the way to the city.

Chiefs of the people

Chiefs of the people (Numbers 21:18) signify inferior truths such as those that are contained in the literal sense of the Word.

In Revelation 14:10; 16:2, this signifies conjunction with falsified truth from the literal sense of the Word. (Apocalypse Explained 887[2], Apocalypse Explained 960) It also signifies influx upon people in the interiors of the devastated church, and who adhere to the doctrines of faith alone. (Apocalypse Explained 677)
