In Revelation 21:15, this signifies to estimate the nature of reality, and so to understand and know that the Lord gives people in the good of love the ability to know the character of His New Church as to doctrine and its introductory truths and as to the Word from which these are drawn. This is clear from the meaning of 'savoury food' as forms of pleasantness received from good, dealt with above in 3502. Here they are called delightful because the truths do not spring from genuine good but from homeborn good, 3518.
