56 The tender and delicate woman among you, who would not adventure to set the sole of her foot on the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,

The affection of charity that was esteemed tender and pure in the soul, that seemed as though it had nothing in contact with carnal things on account of its sanctity and purity, shall be so blinded as to hate the principles of truth and good that were its guide and counsellor, and the holy affections and thoughts that were once produced from it,
