²⁷ The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do to them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

⁹ Then said he to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and The LORD seeth not.

¹⁷ because God has deprived her of wisdom, neither has he imparted to her understanding.

¹⁸ When she lifts up herself on high, she scorns the horse and his rider.

¹⁹ "Have you given the horse might? Have you clothed his neck with a quivering mane?
