That this signifies restoration in the place of it, is evident from the signification of “repaying,” as being restoration (see n. 9087); and from the signification of “lord,” as being good (n. 9167). Thus by “he shall repay to its lord,” is signified the restoration of truth to good in the place of that which had been taken away.
