And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it shall be a son, then ye shall kill him; but if it shall be a daughter, then she shall live.
6665. 'And they were filled with loathing because of the children of Israel' means greater aversion. This is clear from the meaning of 'being filled with loathing' as aversion, in this instance greater aversion since they multiplied and grew all the more through afflictions.
