That this signifies from primary truths, is evident from the signification of “the elders of Israel,” as being the primary things of wisdom and intelligence which are in agreement with good and with truth (see n. 6524, 6525, 6890, 7912), thus primary truths, for these belong to intelligence and wisdom.
