Stejně jako přírodní potrava živí přirozené tělo, tak duchovní potrava živí duchovní tělo. A protože naše duchovní tělo je výrazem toho, co milujeme, pak duchovní jídlo je to, co živí náš stav lásky: je to touha po dobrém, potěšení z dobrého, porozumění tomu, co má být dobré, a znalost vše, co je pravda a vede k tomu, co je dobré. Takže když se v Bibli mluví o jídle, tak to znamená a obrovská rozmanitost forem, které jídlo může mít, představuje obrovskou rozmanitost dobra, kterou můžeme v životě hledat, a obrovskou rozmanitost myšlenek, které k němu můžeme vést.
