² พระองค์ทรงสร้างให้เป็นผู้ชายและผู้หญิง และทรงอวยพระพรแก่เขา และทรงเรียกชื่อเขาทั้งสองว่าอาดัม ในวันที่เขาถูกสร้างขึ้นนั้น

³ และอาดัมอยู่มาได้หนึ่งร้อยสามสิบปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายคนหนึ่งมีรูปร่างหน้าตาคล้ายคลึงกันกับเขา และเรียกชื่อของเขาว่าเสท

⁴ ตั้งแต่อาดัมให้กำเนิดเสทแล้ว ก็มีอายุต่อไปอีกแปดร้อยปี และเขาให้กำเนิดบุตรชายและบุตรสาวหลายคน

⁵ รวมอายุที่อาดัมมีชีวิตอยู่ได้เก้าร้อยสามสิบปีและเขาได้สิ้นชีวิต

⁶ เสทอยู่มาได้ร้อยห้าปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชื่อเอโนช

⁷ ตั้งแต่เสทให้กำเนิดเอโนชแล้ว ก็มีอายุต่อไปอีกแปดร้อยเจ็ดปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายและบุตรสาวหลายคน

⁸ รวมอายุของเสทได้เก้าร้อยสิบสองปีและเขาได้สิ้นชีวิต

⁹ เอโนชอยู่มาได้เก้าสิบปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชื่อเคนัน

¹⁰ ตั้งแต่เอโนชให้กำเนิดเคนันแล้ว ก็มีอายุต่อไปอีกแปดร้อยสิบห้าปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายและบุตรสาวหลายคน

¹¹ รวมอายุของเอโนชได้เก้าร้อยห้าปีและเขาได้สิ้นชีวิต

¹² เคนันอยู่มาได้เจ็ดสิบปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชื่อมาหะลาเลล

¹³ ตั้งแต่เคนันให้กำเนิดมาหะลาเลลแล้ว ก็มีอายุต่อไปอีกแปดร้อยสี่สิบปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายและบุตรสาวหลายคน

¹⁴ รวมอายุของเคนันได้เก้าร้อยสิบปีและเขาได้สิ้นชีวิต

¹⁵ มาหะลาเลลอยู่มาได้หกสิบห้าปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชื่อยาเรด

¹⁶ ตั้งแต่มาหะลาเลลให้กำเนิดยาเรดแล้ว ก็มีอายุต่อไปอีกแปดร้อยสามสิบปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายและบุตรสาวหลายคน

¹⁷ รวมอายุของมาหะลาเลลได้แปดร้อยเก้าสิบห้าปีและเขาได้สิ้นชีวิต

¹⁸ ยาเรดอยู่มาได้ร้อยหกสิบสองปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชื่อเอโนค

¹⁹ ตั้งแต่ยาเรดให้กำเนิดเอโนคแล้ว ก็มีอายุต่อไปอีกแปดร้อยปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายและบุตรสาวหลายคน

²⁰ รวมอายุของยาเรดได้เก้าร้อยหกสิบสองปีและเขาได้สิ้นชีวิต

²¹ เอโนคอยู่มาได้หกสิบห้าปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชื่อเมธูเสลาห์

²² ตั้งแต่เอโนคให้กำเนิดเมธูเสลาห์แล้ว ก็ดำเนินกับพระเจ้าสามร้อยปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายและบุตรสาวหลายคน

²³ รวมอายุของเอโนคได้สามร้อยหกสิบห้าปี

²⁴ เอโนคได้ดำเนินกับพระเจ้า และหายไป เพราะพระเจ้าทรงรับเขาไป

²⁵ เมธูเสลาห์อยู่มาได้ร้อยแปดสิบเจ็ดปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชื่อลาเมค

²⁶ ตั้งแต่เมธูเสลาห์ให้กำเนิดลาเมคแล้ว ก็มีอายุต่อไปอีกเจ็ดร้อยแปดสิบสองปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายและบุตรสาวหลายคน

²⁷ รวมอายุของเมธูเสลาห์ได้เก้าร้อยหกสิบเก้าปีและเขาได้สิ้นชีวิต

²⁸ ลาเมคอยู่มาได้ร้อยแปดสิบสองปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายคนหนึ่ง

²⁹ เขาเรียกชื่อบุตรชายว่า โนอาห์ กล่าวว่า "คนนี้จะเป็นที่ปลอบประโลมใจเราเกี่ยวกับการงานของเรา และความเหนื่อยยากของมือเรา เพราะเหตุแผ่นดินที่พระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงสาปแช่งนั้น"

³⁰ ตั้งแต่ลาเมคให้กำเนิดโนอาห์แล้ว ก็มีอายุต่อไปอีกห้าร้อยเก้าสิบห้าปี และให้กำเนิดบุตรชายและบุตรสาวหลายคน

³¹ รวมอายุของลาเมคได้เจ็ดร้อยเจ็ดสิบเจ็ดปีและเขาได้สิ้นชีวิต

³² โนอาห์มีอายุได้ห้าร้อยปี และโนอาห์ให้กำเนิดบุตรชื่อเชม ฮาม และยาเฟท

¹² Kenan lived seventy years, and became the father of Mahalalel.

¹³ Kenan lived after he became the father of Mahalalel eight hundred forty years, and became the father of sons and daughters

¹⁴ and all the days of Kenan were nine hundred ten years, then he died.

¹⁵ Mahalalel lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Jared.

¹⁶ Mahalalel lived after he became the father of Jared eight hundred thirty years, and became the father of sons and daughters.

¹⁷ All the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred ninety-five years, then he died.

¹⁸ Jared lived one hundred sixty-two years, and became the father of Enoch.

¹⁹ Jared lived after he became the father of Enoch eight hundred years, and became the father of sons and daughters.

²⁰ All the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years, then he died.

²¹ Enoch lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Methuselah.

²² Enoch walked with God after he became the father of Methuselah three hundred years, and became the father of sons and daughters.

²³ All the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.

²⁴ Enoch walked with God, and he was not, for God took him.

²⁵ Methuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years, and became the father of Lamech.

²⁶ Methuselah lived after he became the father of Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years, and became the father of sons and daughters.

²⁷ All the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, then he died.

²⁸ Lamech lived one hundred eighty-two years, and became the father of a son,

²⁹ and he named him Noah, saying, "This same will comfort us in our work and in the toil of our hands, because of the ground which Yahweh has cursed."

³⁰ Lamech lived after he became the father of Noah five hundred ninety-five years, and became the father of sons and daughters.

³¹ All the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, then he died.

³² Noah was five hundred years old, and Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
