2452. 'That which grew in the ground' means everything that is part of the Church. This is clear from the meaning of 'that which grew' - 'that which grew' being used to mean both crops and every green thing, by which are meant goods and truths, as is evident from the Word in all parts - and from the meaning of 'the ground' as the Church, dealt with in 566, 1068. That goods and truths constitute the all of the Church is well known.
