¹ "แม่วัวทั้งหลายแห่งเมืองบาชานเอ๋ย จงฟังคำนี้เถิด คือผู้ที่อยู่ในภูเขาสะมาเรีย ผู้ที่บีบบังคับคนยากจน และขยี้คนขัดสน ผู้ที่กล่าวแก่นายของตนว่า `เอามาซิคะ เราจะได้ดื่มกัน'

³ และเจ้าจะออกไปตามช่องกำแพง แม่วัวทั้งหลายจะออกไปตามช่องตรงข้างหน้าตน และเจ้าจะทิ้งมันเข้าไปในวังนั้น" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

⁴ "จงมาที่เบธเอล มาทำการละเมิด มาที่กิลกาลซิ มาทำการละเมิดให้ทวีมากขึ้น จงนำเครื่องสัตวบูชาของเจ้ามาทุกเช้า และนำสิบชักหนึ่งของเจ้าหลังจากสามปี

⁵ จงเผาบูชาโมทนาด้วยใช้สิ่งที่มีเชื้อ และประกาศการถวายบูชาด้วยใจสมัคร จงโฆษณา โอ คนอิสราเอลเอ๋ย เจ้ารักที่จะกระทำอย่างนี้นี่นะ" องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้แหละ

⁶ "ทั่วไปทุกเมือง เราให้ฟันของเจ้าสะอาด สถานที่ทุกแห่งของเจ้าก็ขาดอาหาร เจ้าก็ยังไม่กลับมาหาเรา" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

⁷ "เราได้ยับยั้งฝนไว้เสียจากเจ้าด้วย เมื่อก่อนถึงฤดูเกี่ยวสามเดือน เราให้ฝนตกในเมืองหนึ่ง อีกเมืองหนึ่งไม่ให้ฝน นาแห่งหนึ่งมีฝนตก และนาที่ไม่มีฝนก็เหี่ยวแห้ง

⁸ ดังนั้นชาวเมืองสองสามเมืองก็ดั้นด้นไปหาอีกเมืองหนึ่งเพื่อจะหาน้ำดื่ม และไม่รู้จักอิ่ม เจ้าก็ยังไม่กลับมาหาเรา" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

⁹ "เราโจมตีเจ้าด้วยให้ข้าวม้านและขึ้นรา เมื่อบรรดาสวนของเจ้าและสวนองุ่นของเจ้า พร้อมต้นมะเดื่อและต้นมะกอกเทศของเจ้าผลิตผล ตั๊กแตนก็มากิน เจ้าก็ยังไม่กลับมาหาเรา" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

¹⁰ "เราให้โรคระบาดอย่างที่เกิดในอียิปต์มาเกิดท่ามกลางเจ้า เราประหารคนหนุ่มของเจ้าเสียด้วยดาบ ทั้งเอาม้าทั้งหลายของเจ้าไปเสีย และกระทำให้ความน่าเหม็นที่ค่ายของเจ้าคลุ้งเข้าจมูกเจ้า เจ้าก็ยังไม่กลับมาหาเรา" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

¹¹ "เราคว่ำเจ้าเสียบ้าง อย่างที่พระเจ้าคว่ำเมืองโสโดมและเมืองโกโมราห์ เจ้าเหมือนดุ้นฟืนที่เขาหยิบออกมาจากกองไฟ เจ้าก็ยังไม่กลับมาหาเรา" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ

¹² "โอ อิสราเอลเอ๋ย เพราะฉะนั้นเราจะต้องกระทำกับเจ้าดังนี้ เพราะเราจะต้องกระทำเช่นนี้แก่เจ้า โอ อิสราเอลเอ๋ย จงเตรียมตัวเพื่อจะเผชิญพระเจ้าของเจ้า"

¹³ เพราะดูเถิด พระองค์ผู้ปั้นภูเขาและสร้างลม และทรงประกาศพระดำริของพระองค์แก่มนุษย์ ผู้ทรงกระทำให้รุ่งสว่างกลายเป็นความมืด และทรงดำเนินบนที่สูงของพิภพ พระนามของพระองค์ คือพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าจอมโยธา

⁷ "I also have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city. one place was rained on, and the piece where it didn't rain withered.

⁸ So two or three cities staggered to one city to drink water, and were not satisfied: yet you haven't returned to me," says Yahweh.

⁹ "I struck you with blight and mildew many times in your gardens and your vineyards; and your fig trees and your olive trees have the swarming locust devoured: yet you haven't returned to me," says Yahweh.

¹⁰ "I sent plagues among you like I did Egypt. I have slain your young men with the sword, and have carried away your horses; and I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camp, yet you haven't returned to me," says Yahweh.

¹¹ "I have overthrown some of you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a burning stick plucked out of the fire; yet you haven't returned to me," says Yahweh.

¹² "Therefore thus will I do to you, Israel; because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, Israel.

¹³ For, behold, he who forms the mountains, and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought; who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the high places of the Earth: Yahweh, the God of Armies, is his name."
