Then this earthly part, when it is compliant, is comparable to something translucent. The compliant earthly part is so to speak translucent, letting through all spiritual light.

But since human earthly qualities are nothing but filth and evil, that translucency is modified, as when light passes through something translucent and turns into beautiful colors, which are beautifully arranged by the Lord.
