2090. 'And I will make him into a great nation' means having the enjoyment of goods, and increases in these. This is clear from the meaning of 'nations' as goods, dealt with in Volume One, in 1159, 1258-1260, 1416, 1849. Here therefore 'making into a great nation' means both the enjoyment of and increases in goods.
