Verse 8. And what affections so lead towards good, or are in accordance with such just directions for the general conduct of life and for each particular case, as the new perceptions of the Divine Word which are given to the soul in this state?

He also chose David his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds;

from following the ewes that have their young, he brought him to be the shepherd of Jacob, his people, and Israel, his inheritance.
