Noon

'Noon' signifies the full state of the church. It also signifies wisdom in its most luminous state. 'Noon' denotes a state of light, because the times of the day, 'morning, noon, and evening,' correspond to enlightenment in the other life. Enlightenment in that life is the enlightenment of intelligence and wisdom, because the light of heaven is intelligence and wisdom. The changes of enlightenment in the other life are described as 'morning, noon, and evening' on the earth. States of shade, like the evening, happen not because of the sun in that world, or the Lord, who always shines, but from the angels' sense of self. As they are let into their sense of self, they come into a state of shade or evening. As they are elevated from their sense of self, or into the celestial selfhood, they come into a state of light. This is why noon corresponds to a state of light.
