'Teachers' signify doctrine, or the doctrine of truth, and in the highest sense, divine truth.

In Exodus 4:12, teachers signify the Divine Truth called the Holy Spirit, proceeding from the Lord's Divine Human. (Arcana Coelestia 6993)
