¹ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားပရိသတ်အပေါင်းတို့သည်၊ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း၊ သိန်တောထဲက ထွက်၍ ခရီးသွားသဖြင့်၊ ရေဖိဒိမ်အရပ်၌ စားခန်းချကြ၏။ ထိုအရပ်၌ လူများသောက်ဘို့ရာ ရေမရှိ။

²⁰ မောရှေနှင့် အာရုန်သည် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့်တော်မူသည်အတိုင်း ပြု၍၊ အာရုန်သည် ဖါရောဘုရင် ရှေ့၊ သူ၏ကျွန်များရှေ့မှာ လှံတံကိုချီ၍ မြစ်ရေကို ရိုက်သဖြင့်၊ မြစ်ရေရှိသမျှသည် အသွေးဖြစ်လေ၏။

¹³ Jesus answered her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,

¹⁴ but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst again; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."
