¹⁷ ഹവീലാ തുടങ്ങി അശ്ശൂരിലേക്കു പോകുന്ന വഴിയില്‍ മിസ്രയീമിന്നു കിഴക്കുള്ള ശൂര്‍വരെ അവര്‍ കുടിയിരുന്നു; അവന്‍ തന്റെ സകലസഹോദരന്മാര്‍ക്കും എതിരെ പാര്‍ത്തു.

³² If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

¹⁹ ഇവര്‍ എദോം എന്നും പേരുള്ള ഏശാവിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും അവരില്‍നിന്നു ഉത്ഭവിച്ച പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും ആകുന്നു.
