5675. 'And they brought him the gift that was in their hand, to the house' means an instillation as far as this was possible. This is clear from the meaning of 'the gift' that was given to kings and priests as the obtaining of favour, and so also an instillation, dealt with just above in 5671; and from the meaning of 'that was in their hand' as far as possible, also dealt with above, in 5624, 5659.
