Don't Limit God's Power

Why is it with God that we often think that past behavior does not predict future behavior? The Scriptures are full of miracles, but in today's world we tend to rationalize away God's ability to affect our lives. We don't ask Him for help because the doctors say there's no cure, we don't ask Him for the money because we can't think of where it's going to come from... but these are just examples of us putting limits on God's power. He may not communicate with us like in ancient times, but it doesn't mean He doesn't communicate with us.

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying "Cheer up! It is I! Don't be afraid."

28 Peter answered him and said, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters."

29 He said, "Come!" Peter stepped down from the boat, and walked on the waters to Come to Jesus.

30 But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"

31 Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"
