This is clear from the meaning of 'bestowing life' as spiritual life, dealt with in 5890. Since the bestowal of life on, or the regeneration of the natural has been the subject in what has gone before, and since the entire process has been described there - and it takes place in that and no other way - the words of explanation 'in no other way and from no other source' are added.
