7238. To lead the children of Israel out of Egypt' means to leave them and not molest them. This is clear from the meaning of being led out' as being delivered, as above in 7235, so that it is a warning, telling them to leave and not molest; from the representation of 'the children of Israel' as those who belong to the spiritual Church, dealt with just above in 7235; and from the meaning of 'Egypt' as falsity that is used to carry out molestation, dealt with already.
