8218. 'Let us flee before Israel' means separation from those governed by the good of truth and guided by the truth of good. This is clear from the meaning of 'fleeing' as separation, dealt with in 4113, 4114, 4120; and from the representation of 'Israel' as those who belong to the spiritual Church, or what amounts to the same thing, those who are governed by the good of truth and guided by the truth of good, dealt with in 7957.
