Whence

When the Bible refers to where someone or something came from, it's internally talking about their spiritual origins, or the spiritual states that led them to their current state.

Time and space are physical realities which don't exist in the same way on a spiritual plane. Instead, people in the spiritual world experience differences in spiritual state. Someone in a different spiritual state appears distant, while someone in a similar spiritual state appears close. We get some glimpses of this; we can feel "close" to someone we love even if we are halfway around the world, based on the affection we have for them (affection being a spiritual state, even in this life).

375. "Amen." This symbolizes the agreement of all.

This verse begins with the word "Amen," and now ends with it. When it is said at the beginning, it symbolizes truth and an affirmation in response to it (no. 371). But when it is said at the end, it symbolizes an affirmation and agreement by all that what has been said is the truth.
