Christmas is known as a time of hope and joy, but here we look at the difference about being "hopeful" for the season versus being "optimistic." Hope involves actually doing something to make the hopeful vision come to pass. The Lord in His Word similarly tells us that with the hope for the future comes the responsibility to make changes in our life to bring the promise to pass.
