632. 'The earth was filled with violence' means that the will for good existed no longer. This is clear from what has been stated and shown already at verse 11 about the meaning of 'violence'. The previous verse spoke about the understanding of truth, while the present verse speaks about the will for good, both of which perished with the member of the Church.
