Grape

'Grape,' in a good sense, means 'goodness,' but in an opposite sense, 'evil.'

'To eat sour grapes' signifies to take into one's self the false things of evil.

'Gleaning grapes when the vintage is done,' as in Isaiah 24:13, signifies the vastation of the church regarding truth.

'To gather grapes,' as in Revelation 14:18, signifies 'to bring forth the fruit,' and 'to make an end,' the same as 'to reap.' This can also signify the devastation of the church. In Jeremiah 6:9, Leviticus 19:10, 26:5, Deuteronomy 26:7, and 24:21, 'to gather grapes' signifies collecting for use, especially things that can serve the understanding.
