Fighting the Same Fight, Family Issues

There some places in the Word where we're told to fight against our father, mother, brothers, etc., and the idea is that as we work on our regeneration we're going have to fight family members. Not literally of course, but we're going to have to fight against parts of ourselves that are closely tied to our identity and sense of self. These issues are not easy to recognize, and painful to give up when we do. We'll be seeing this concept illustrated in the story of King David.
