Leviticus 3

Studie

And if his offering be a sacrifice of peace··offering, if he offer it of the herd; whether a male or female, perfect shall he offer it before Jehovah.

And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and slaughter it at the entrance of the Tabernacle of the congregation; and Aaron’s sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar all around.

And he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace··offerings a fire··offering to Jehovah; the fat covering the inwards, and all the fat that is over the inwards,

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is on the entrails, and the caul on the liver over the kidneys, it he shall remove.

And Aaron’s sons shall burn· it ·for··incense on the altar on the burnt··offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire; it is a fire··offering, a restful smell to Jehovah.

And if his offering for a sacrifice of peace··offering to Jehovah be of the flock, male or female, perfect shall he offer it.

If he offer a lamb for his offering, then he shall offer it before Jehovah.

And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and slaughter it before the Tabernacle of the congregation; and Aaron’s sons shall sprinkle the blood of it all around upon the altar.

And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace··offerings, a fire··offering to Jehovah; the fat, and the entire tail, alongside the backbone he shall remove it; and the fat covering the inwards, and all the fat that is over the inwards,

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is on the entrails, and the caul on the liver, on the kidneys, it he shall remove.

And the priest shall burn· it ·for··incense on the altar; it is the bread of the fire··offering to Jehovah.

And if his offering be a goat, then he shall offer it before Jehovah.

And he shall lay his hand upon the head of it, and slaughter it before the Tabernacle of the congregation; and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle the blood of it on the altar all around.

And he shall offer from it his offering, even a fire··offering to Jehovah; the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the inwards,

and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is on the entrails, and the caul on the liver, on the kidneys, it he shall remove.

And the priest shall burn· them ·for··incense upon the altar; it is the bread of the fire··offering for a restful smell; all the fat is for Jehovah.

It shall be an eternal statute for your generations in all your dwellings, and all the fat and all the blood, you shall not eat.

9392. Verses 6-8 And Moses took half of the blood and put it in bowls, and half of the blood he sprinkled over the altar. And he took the book of the covenant, and read it in the ears of the people; and they said, All that Jehovah has spoken we will do and hear. And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it over the people, and said, Behold, the blood of the covenant which Jehovah has made with you according to all these words. 'And Moses took half of the blood' means Divine Truth which has become a matter of life and of worship.

'And put it in bowls' means present with a person, in the things forming his memory. 'And half of the blood he sprinkled over the altar' means Divine Truth from the Lord's Divine Human. 'And he took the book of the covenant' means the Word in the letter to which the Word in heaven was joined. 'And read it in the ears of the people' means to be listened to and obeyed. 'And they said, All that Jehovah has spoken we will do and hear' means receiving the truth that emanates from the Lord's Divine Human, and obeying it with heart and soul. 'And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it over the people' means making a person well-adapted to receive it. 'And said, Behold, the blood of the covenant' means that by means of this truth the Lord's Divine Human is joined to heaven and to earth. 'Which Jehovah has made with you according to all these words' means that the Lord accomplishes the joining together by means of every single part of the Word.
