39 and the priest shall see; and, behold, if the pustules on the skin of their flesh are a dim white; it is a pimple that flourishes in the skin; he is clean.

Explanation of Leviticus 13

Verses 1-8. The general law of order for the discovery of the profanation of truth, namely, that if man is in impurity externally, and at the same time in acknowledgement and faith internally, there is profanation, but not otherwise

Verses 9-11. Concerning a confirmed state of profanation

Verses 12-17. The difference between entire external profanation and internal profanation is shown, and that the former is curable.

Verses 18-23. Concerning impurity and profanation from sensual love;

Verses 24-28. from worldly love;

Verses 29-37. and from selfish love.

Verses 38-44. Some other particular cases of impurity and profanation are considered

Verses 45-46. The lamentable state of the profaner described
