And the man◦ arose to go, he◦ and his concubine and his lad. And his father-in-law, the father of the damsel, said to him, Behold, now◦, the day slackens to evening. Pass··the··night, I pray◦ thee. Behold, the day encamps. Pass··the··night here, and let thy heart be··good; and tomorrow get· on your way ·early, and go◦ to thy tent.
The foot, as in Deuteronomy 33:3, signifies an inferior principle. To set the right foot on the sea and the left on the earth, as in Revelation 10:2, signifies that the Lord has the universal church under His intuition and dominion.
