⁴ on·​·account·​·of the day that comes to devastate all the Philistines, and to cut·​·off from Tyre and from Zidon every surviving helper; for Jehovah will devastate the Philistines, those who·​·are·​·left of the island of Caphtor.

⁵ Ashkelon shall see and fear; also^◦ Gaza, and she shall travail exceedingly; and Ekron, for her expectation^◦ shall dry·​·up; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be dwelt·​·in.
