²⁶ And they shall dwell securely on it, and shall build houses, and plant vineyards; and they shall dwell securely, when I have made judgments upon^◦ all those having·​·contempt for them all around them; and they shall know that I^◦ am Jehovah their God.

⁵⁵ But if you will not dispossess those dwelling·​·in the land from before you, then it shall be, that those whom you let remain of them shall be a thorn·​·hedge in your eyes, and barbs in your sides, and shall be·​·adversaries with^◦ you upon the land wherein you^◦ dwell.
